| Healthwatch Cambridgeshire & Peterborough and Healthwatch Norfolk are running a public survey to gather views on how the NHS uses and shares patient data.
Why it matters:
The NHS routinely collects and shares patient data to support care and public health. Data sharing helps coordinate treatment and identify vulnerable people during emergencies.
Currently, data is shared unless patients opt out—individual consent each time isn’t practical.
Local NHS leaders want to better understand public awareness and opinions.
