Buckden Village Hall has received a grant from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority to improve the biodiversity on our 11-acre estate. This grant has been generously topped up by Buckden Parish Councill. We are keen to share our plans with everyone and will be showing these at a short briefing on the evening of Thursday, 15 May at Buckden Village Hall. We hope as many people as possible will attend.

This is part of our on-going grant applications to improve the energy efficiency of our buildings and improve access to nature for everyone using Buckden Village Hall. Over the past 3 years, we have raised over £100,000 in grant aid to enhance roof insulation, convert all lights to LEDs, and install a new footpath path. Through donations, legacies and partnerships with the Football Foundation, Howdens and other organisations, we have also refurbished the sports pavilion, bought a new mower for our pitches recarpeted all our meeting rooms and repainted the main conference rooms.
To continue this work, we desperately need new trustees. Please consider volunteering some of your time. For details on what it means to be a Trustee, please contact Jo Harvey, Hall Manager on admin@buckdenvillagehall.co.uk.
