In total we had 21 powered items and 27 unpowered ones brought into be fixed . The 33 items that were repaired represent a repair percentage of just under 69%. If you include those items which were repairable but not in the time available or because they needed spare parts to complete the job, this rises to just under 94%.
This was our third Repair Café since last October and our combined efforts give a 67.7% success rate on site. This would rise to 91% if all of the objects seen that were repairable went on to be fixed.
This just goes to show that we shouldn’t be too quick to throw things away that have stopped working or have become damaged!
