Potential Travel Disruption Friday 18th February 2022

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Friday 18th February 2022 as high winds from Storm Eunice are expected to impact the region. The safety of our passengers, staff and other road users is our top priority and so we will be operating single deck vehicles on our network where possible, prioritising rural and long-distance routes which have greater exposure to strong side winds. These include:

Bedford:

  • 905
  • X5
  • 99

Cambridge:

  • 9
  • 11
  • 12
  • 13
  • 39
  • 915

Busway:

  • B

Peterborough:

  • 36
  • 37

Due to this, the above services will operate with a reduced capacity (Please note that additional services which are not listed above may also experience capacity reductions as the situation develops).

Busway customers are also advised that there will be a temporary, reduced speed limit of 30mph in place on the main Busway track due to the anticipation of strong side winds.

Our teams are working hard to maintain service levels where possible but there may be some potential travel disruption and so we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We ask that our passengers please take care when travelling, plan ahead and allow extra time for their journeys. Passengers can also Download the Stagecoach Bus App for live bus tracking and to plan their journey.

We would be very grateful if you could please share this information with your colleagues. Thank you.

Kind regards,
