Works the weekend just gone concentrated on deep pavement reconstruction works on the A1 northbound side of Buckden Roundabout to ensure long term condition of the roundabout.
These works achieved a significant amount of the intended scope but unfortunately an issue was uncovered on Sunday which means that further works are urgently required. As a result, we will be working tonight (Tuesday 5 July) to complete the pavement works on the northbound side of the roundabout.
The southbound overnight closure of the A1, originally planned for tonight, will be cancelled to allow for the northbound closure but further southbound overnight weeknight closures will continue this week and next week.
The traffic management in place for tonight will be the exact same as what was in place for last weekend i.e., full closure from Wyboston, escorted access from Hail Weston, temporary crossover point available at Taylors Lane etc.
Farms that require access from Buckden Roundabout have been contacted and made aware of the works.
